Relationship with Rains

Image
I wake up very early these days for my Yoga sessions, but morning today was something else..it was dark and pouring. Doing Om Chanting with my   eyes closed to the rhythm of raindrops hitting the walls of my balcony was a divine experience.. My trainer had to wake me up from my deep trance   to move forward for Asanas. There is something magical about rain. It resonates the emotions you feel and enlarge it to consume you. Like, if you are heartbroken or sad, rain can drown you in to the depth of your sorrows, but if you are happy in your heart, rain can invite you into a spontaneous dance under it’s spell on the rhythm of your laughter.   If you are in love and your partner is by your side, it can take a form of a seductress wooing you and your partner into a passion play of sensuality and romance. And if, you are in love away from your partner it can moist your eyes and at the same time, bring a smile to your face and prayer on your lips asking God to send him...

Simply complicated

Image
‘Good days’ and ‘bad days’, ‘sexy hair’ days and ‘bad’ hair days and   ‘the world is out there against me days’ and ‘I am top of world days’ are part of my known psychology and gamut of emotions I display palate..but this day is strange. I am drifting. How complicated things get when we miss the obvious. Like yesterday I was looking for my pink colored hair band for good 3 hours and when I went to sleep in the night, I realized it was tied around my wrist the whole time. Point being, all the confusion, hunt, the irritation of not finding my hair band would not have happened had I just checked my own wrist.   You may find this incident funny, almost stupid but look deep and you will see yourself missing the obvious sometimes. You say something and you get a reaction which is a result of your something simple perceived totally in a complex alternate structure, and as you gasp to untie the already complicated strings to simplify their perception, you lose yo...

Respect to L

Image
Today my post is dedicated to this lady, my friend , I respect immensely. A lot  has been said and written about Single Moms. Whether they become Single Mom by choice as in Adoption, like Sushmita Sen or circumstances like Divorce or death of the partner, it is indeed a tough position. It’s a place where you have the responsibility of your child and duty of both the parents. You need to shift gears between The Mom state and the Father role and as kids demand it these days, even friend. My friend has two lovely boys. They are the most well behaved , mature kids I know. She lost her accident at a very young age, on this day some years back. She went through problems, heartbreak, and her lowest phase but did not leave her dignity, her self respect , her responsibility as a mother, daughter or even daughter in law for a nano-second. I asked her, were you always this strong? She says, she is a woman. Woman are born strong, it’s just that they discover their true strength when l...

Draw Something!

Image
So I   have this new hobby, border lining to obsession these days. It’s called Draw Something.   It’s a drawing game application on my Android where we explain a word through our drawing to the other players who are mostly friends from our contact list. It’s amazing that I recently exchanged 100 odd drawings with my best friend and there are two more friends who are just about to touch 100 with me in a day or two. You know why it is amazing? Because, I always had complex about my drawing skills. I always secretly wanted to draw but was  embarrassed of what I draw. As a kid , I used to get A grades in all subjects but Drawing showed me the world of C-D grade. I would proudly draw stuff, love what I draw only to be ridiculed by my teacher, saying you cannot even draw a straight line. As a kid I was imaginative, so once I let my imagination go wild. The task was to draw   Ladyfinger, the vegetable. It is long and green with minor lines. I thought of making m...

The He Man

Image
I was writing a list on what do women secretly want from her Boyfriend/Husband/Partner and thoughts came pouring. We women like to be heard, loved, respected, cared, craved, protected, pampered, trusted and cherished. We have a strong mind, so strong that it confuses us from time to time. We evolve faster than the cells on our body and hence, what we loved yesterday may not be as exciting today. We love ourselves and yet we hate some parts of us on certain days when we look in the mirror. We want our man to be like our dad and yet we argue with our Dad all the time. We love our Mom's but are secretly scared of  becoming her. We want our man to cuddle us, go shopping with us, share our passion as we share his passion and yet we want him to give us space, from time to time. I really think that God has made a right match for everyone. We do meet some wrong frogs in the quest of finding our prince. Lucky are those women who find a man who understands them, make them feel proud of ...

Donate Sperms.. and be proud!

Image
I had heard rave reviews of Vicky Donor. Finally saw it last evening. I really liked the movie, it dealt with sperm donation so simply yet effectively and even touched upon some other social stigma topics like marrying a divorcee or adopting kid if one cannot naturally conceive. Sweet film. I got thinking, how people openly talk about and even shout out loud every time someone needs blood or every time they donate blood. I have till date not seen or heard any of my friend /acquaintance share the details of anyone needing sperms or of anyone who donated them. It is kind of embarrassing right? Imagine your FB status .. “ I donated sperms today. Twice!” Or what if your boyfriend was a professional or ok, let’s just say regular sperm donor? Would you be ok with that? As for me, I think It will be weird at first but I guess I will be able to live with that. It’s far better to see another woman as mother of your husband’s child through clinical sperm donation..rather than you ...

In love with my Car

Image
You are not the car you drive, said Chuck Palahinuk in Fight Club. But what if I say, that my car has been my reflection, my close buddy, an extension of me when I drive it. Remember the scene in Avatar when they connect their long hair to the horse they ride, to be one with the being who is taking them across the distance, to feel him and his velocity and ride with him, on him. When I sit on the driving seat and wear my seat belt, put my feet on the clutch and accelerator, I am immediately tuned with the sound of the engine. I drive a very ordinary Sedan but it’s is extra-ordinary for me. It is my first car. I aspired for it when I saw the Advt of it’s launch in India. When I was not even earning as much as the price of that car annually, yet I wanted it. When my friends were buying their first car a small size start up vehicle, I dreamt of this one. And I don’t know how I bought it. The second month of buying it I got an extraordinary hike, making it easy for me to pay the...
