I have been happy. I have been busy. But I have been missing you. It's amazing how many days have passed since I last posted on my blog. Not fair, and not real. Anyway, lots have happened in my life in the last 3 months. Got married, moved to a new country, set up my home, started cooking and even started consulting before I join a firm full time next year. So much happened, so many words got lost before they could be typed on this keyboard. Nevertheless, never too late. I am working on a Job Analysis project. Part of it is defining the job or position of employees. As I was doing my work it occured that why has definition been so important. As a kid no subject went without the much necessary, "Define this and Define that". How numbers on the report card soared by defining someone else's point of view of a thing/concept verbatim. Weird but, atleast someone took the trouble of defining something so we could mug and puke in our answer paper. Then another th...

New Life

Image
"In that book which is my memory, On the first page of the chapter that is the day when I first met you, Appear the words, ‘Here begins a new life’.”  And a new life has began.. Got married to my friend of 12 years, a man who has seen me through good, bad and ugly times in sad jeans and hot pants. The man who stood by me, when even my shadow took a hike, and to the man I so love and love to annoy! We got married last month on the 21st in a beautifully planned Temple Wedding held at ISKCON temple, Juhu Mumbai. Unlike many Indian weddings this wedding was short, sweet, enjoyable. My husband and I had a great time marrying each other and the guests enjoyed themselves, showered their love and blessings and even liked the food. Importance of celebrating your most important day of life with the people you truly love and know is that there is no baggage, no extra formality..claws are tucked in and halo is out! Anyway, what followed our wedding was a " Wedding getaway...

The Bachelorette Bash

Image
God made friends to bring smile to your face and God made Girl-Friends to bring a loud naughty laugh to your heart! A lot happened in the last few weeks. For starters, I got engaged!!! Yay!! And the wedding is next week.. OMG!! OMG!! Okay..but that 's for another blog..what happened last night is something I am dying to preserve in the memory of my blog soonest. My best friend Omu, threw me a surprise Bachelorette Bash!! This woman with the rest of the girl gang ensured that the evening was well planned , filled with naughty, kinky, fun games, simulations, music, food and of course moments. I have been keeping busy with all the wedding preparations, almost transforming into a "going crazy bride to be" with a never ending checklist, things to do, over shooting budgets issues, pimple and a chipped nails and just then my besties bestowed their love in such sweet and sexy form. The night was amazing with 4 free spirited girls- a dj, a banker, 2 HR professionals...

Simple

Ever eaten food with someone else feeding you holding the spoon.. No no, not as a kid but in the recent past? One likes the attention, the love, the effort someone else is taking to feed you with love. You like it  for sometime, a few morsels, may be one whole supper but you get the best satisfaction eating out of your own hands..right? That’s how life is. If you give the strings of your life in someone else’s hand , you may enjoy the dance for a few days, but soon you will miss your walk, your rhythm and your dance. Many time in our lives we knowingly or unknowingly give our strings in the hand of someone else, and then later when they don’t move us on the rhythm of our heart we complain, resist and even suffer. Worse, we blame them for mis-using us! Loving someone or being with someone cannot be confused with owning that person. You can be yourself, you have the right to be yourself and you can still belong (and not own or be owned) to someone. Respect your par...

Back

Oohh writing after such a long time. So much happened while I was away. My copywriter friend got engaged to an Abstract Mathematics professor(yeah and world is still very much alive!) my best friend and I had a great weekend filled with Sake, Beer, Chocolate milk shake and chick flicks..not to mention hair treatment, nail extensions and dress material shopping!! A guy you share a romantic relationship is important. Someone who loves you and makes you feel like a beautiful woman inside out is a divine gift. But, having a best girlfriend is a must. Imagine what would you do without your BFF, if you have a pimple, when you spot that best pair of shoes, when your favorite dress is on discount, on lonely weekends, when your guy is on tour, when there is this amazing piece of gossip you heard or when you have no reasons but a reason to meet up with her and spend time talking..just plain talking! So a lot of all that happened this weekend.   Besides, something new is discover...

Relationship with Rains

Image
I wake up very early these days for my Yoga sessions, but morning today was something else..it was dark and pouring. Doing Om Chanting with my   eyes closed to the rhythm of raindrops hitting the walls of my balcony was a divine experience.. My trainer had to wake me up from my deep trance   to move forward for Asanas. There is something magical about rain. It resonates the emotions you feel and enlarge it to consume you. Like, if you are heartbroken or sad, rain can drown you in to the depth of your sorrows, but if you are happy in your heart, rain can invite you into a spontaneous dance under it’s spell on the rhythm of your laughter.   If you are in love and your partner is by your side, it can take a form of a seductress wooing you and your partner into a passion play of sensuality and romance. And if, you are in love away from your partner it can moist your eyes and at the same time, bring a smile to your face and prayer on your lips asking God to send him...

Simply complicated

Image
‘Good days’ and ‘bad days’, ‘sexy hair’ days and ‘bad’ hair days and   ‘the world is out there against me days’ and ‘I am top of world days’ are part of my known psychology and gamut of emotions I display palate..but this day is strange. I am drifting. How complicated things get when we miss the obvious. Like yesterday I was looking for my pink colored hair band for good 3 hours and when I went to sleep in the night, I realized it was tied around my wrist the whole time. Point being, all the confusion, hunt, the irritation of not finding my hair band would not have happened had I just checked my own wrist.   You may find this incident funny, almost stupid but look deep and you will see yourself missing the obvious sometimes. You say something and you get a reaction which is a result of your something simple perceived totally in a complex alternate structure, and as you gasp to untie the already complicated strings to simplify their perception, you lose yo...

Respect to L

Image
Today my post is dedicated to this lady, my friend , I respect immensely. A lot  has been said and written about Single Moms. Whether they become Single Mom by choice as in Adoption, like Sushmita Sen or circumstances like Divorce or death of the partner, it is indeed a tough position. It’s a place where you have the responsibility of your child and duty of both the parents. You need to shift gears between The Mom state and the Father role and as kids demand it these days, even friend. My friend has two lovely boys. They are the most well behaved , mature kids I know. She lost her accident at a very young age, on this day some years back. She went through problems, heartbreak, and her lowest phase but did not leave her dignity, her self respect , her responsibility as a mother, daughter or even daughter in law for a nano-second. I asked her, were you always this strong? She says, she is a woman. Woman are born strong, it’s just that they discover their true strength when l...
